Microsoft's giving students free access to its developer tools!

Late today (18 Feb 2008/Mon), MS announced the DreamSpark project that opens up access to many students in the world (currently 11 countries listed). Looks like Bill Gates is trying to intensify MS's RIA competition with Adobe.

Again, related with with the web-wars, we will also see what would happen to the MS's Yahoo bid soon :)

Some of the tools available through DreamSpark:
  • Visual Studio
  • XNA Game Studio
  • Expression Studio
  • Windows Server (standard edition)
  • SQL Server developer edition
